Who am I?

Casey Thomas is an Appalachian State University industrial design student concentrating in furniture design. He has also been working as a shop supervisor for over 1 year. His work has been displayed in multiple galleries, including at the Art and Design Expo 2025 in the Smith Gallery on campus. He focuses on contemporary design projects in the furniture industry but is exited about working in a variety of industries.

I design objects that balance both beauty and function, an object should be both visually striking and inviting to interact with. My work is influenced by mid century modern aesthetics and is both playful and serious through the use of form, color and material. By combining tradition craftsmanship and modern computer aided processes I create heirloom quality furniture and products.
